Faster live feedback and route scans
Live feedback now tracks your pose on the GPU and scans the route for its holds. Videos get two overlay styles, and Apple Watch training is easier to control.

Live feedback that keeps up
Live feedback now tracks your pose on your phone’s or computer’s GPU. Your skeleton is drawn at your screen’s frame rate, so it stays with you instead of trailing behind.
A larger, more accurate pose model keeps your legs and feet in the right place, even on overhangs. Cues settle before they change, so they’re easier to follow mid-climb.
Scan the route
Point the camera at the wall and tap Scan route. Cima sends that one frame to find the route’s holds, using your project’s color when it has one, and draws them on the preview.
As you climb, Cima follows the holds you touch and marks the top-out. The Arcade style also counts your moves and shows how far up you are.
Clean or Arcade
Clean, the default, gives every limb a dark outline so it stays readable on any hold color, with your left side in blue and your right in orange. Arcade adds neon lines, hold lock-ons and a HUD with your moves, time and stats.
Pick a style under Overlay style on a video or on the live feedback card. Each device remembers its own choice.
Easier training on Apple Watch
A training run now has two pages, like the Workout app: the timer with Pause and Skip, and a swipe away, Pause, Skip and Finish. An Up next line shows what’s coming, and Skip says whether it skips a rest, a hang or a lift.
On a Watch that supports double tap, it pauses and resumes a run, or starts one that’s ready. Saved protocols open a preview before they start, and presets let you set the grip, edge, sets, reps, hang and rest times. The Watch remembers your last setup for each preset.
With your wrist down, the rest countdown keeps counting in Always On.
How to get it
- Update Cima to version 1.5.0 from the App Store or Google Play.
- Open a project and tap Live cues. On the web, open a project’s Live feedback tab.
- To try the new Watch controls, update the Watch app and start a training run.
